It's just that having multiple ports is always nice. While we admit that the Laptop Go packs more ports than the new MacBook Air, but we felt the need for a few more USB-A ports when we wanted to charge our smartwatch while plugging an accessory. However, we would have liked it if Microsoft added a few more ports to the Surface Laptop Go. Surface Laptop Go comes with limited connectivity ports. In fact, we can confidently say that the Surface Laptop Go punched above its weight in several departments. This laptop is one of the best for students or teachers if they want a machine that can handle their everyday tasks without heavy lifting. Another advantage you get with the Surface Laptop Go is that it comes with a touch display that lets you do more with your display even without tapping on your keyboard for everything that not many laptops offer at this price. In fact, we typed this review on the Surface Laptop Go, and we loved the way it let us keep multiple tabs open alongside other productivity apps. The 10th Gen Intel i5 quad-core processor is a good CPU that didn't slouch or stutter while our daily tasks like writing articles, editing images, opening multiple tabs on Microsoft Edge, Chrome, and video playback in high-resolution were handled well. However, if you need a machine that can handle multi-tasking, including some gaming and graphics-heavy tasks, you should look elsewhere. The Surface Laptop Go comes with a full-size keyboard. In Q1 FY 21, the company says it has already seen a jump of 37 per cent, which is impressive. Microsoft told India Today Tech that every new quarter is a blockbuster quarter in terms of units sold in the country. Compared to Q3 in financial year 20, where it saw a 1 per cent rise, Microsoft Surface reached 28 per cent rise in the next quarter (Q4 20). During the product briefing, Microsoft did talk about how the Surface line of products is performing in India. However, the company says it is gearing for a very eventful year, and Surface Laptop Go stands right in the centre of its plan. However, a few things that we missed in these packages were an aggressive pricing strategy from Microsoft that gave an advantage to other rivals and product launch delays that killed the excitement.
A few years later, Surface Book (2019) brought a new design to the mix, and Surface Laptop 3 launched last year was an attempt to leave a lasting impression with a package that's power-packed. The company launched the Microsoft Surface Pro as the first product for the Indian market in 2016. Right from detachable display form factor to introducing the ultra-slim design, we have seen different products coming out from Microsoft. Microsoft Surface devices have been around for a long time and aren't new for any market, including India.
